2024 Fall First-Year Checklist

Here are the next steps to join the Yellow Jacket family.

1. Complete Enrollment
  • Pay the non-refundable $250 admission deposit by May 1, 2024 (non-Georgia students). Georgia students must pay by May 15, 2024. (This will be applied toward the bill from your first semester.)

  • Submit your final, official high school transcript with the date of graduation.

  • Submit your official SAT/ACT scores, if you self-reported them during the application process.
  • Submit your AP/IB scores and/or final college transcript to ensure any potential college credit is awarded prior to attending FASET Orientation.

  • Continue to check your admission portal for additional updates or requirements.

2. Apply for Financial Aid

Submit your financial aid application documents for the 2024-25 academic year. The priority deadline to be considered for all types of aid is January 31, 2024

  • 2024-25 Georgia Tech Application for Scholarships and Financial Aid.
  • 2024-25 FAFSA. (The FAFSA is changing and will be available in late December 2023. Visit our website to learn how to prepare.)
  • 2024-25 CSS Profile. (The CSS Profile will not be accepted after January 31, 2024).

3. Apply for Housing

Review your housing community options.

Complete your application in the My Housing Portal.

  • The Housing application is complete when you have signed your contract. Room selection numbers are assigned in the order applications are completed. The earlier you apply, the more options you’ll have!

  • iGniTe students who plan to live on campus in the summer should complete the 2024-2025 Academic Year AND Summer 2024 housing applications.

  • First-Year Semester Abroad (FYSA) students should complete the Summer 2024 AND Spring 2025 housing applications.

  • Challenge students should complete the 2024-2025 Academic Year AND Summer 2024 housing applications.

My Housing

Consider applying for a Learning Community (LC), where the residential experience is leveled-up in interest-based cohorts supported by faculty.

4. Schedule Orientation and Class Registration
  • Confirm your major via the admission portal.
  • Register for FASET orientation via your admission portal.

  • Upload your student ID (BuzzCard) photo.

  • Meet with an advisor and register for classes during your FASET orientation session.

  • Check for a statement and due dates after completing course registration.
